I got a DUI and a lawyer but it has not gone to court yet. when can I apply for a hardship license?

I was not drinking and not asked to give a Breathalyzer so I didn’t but, still was arrested even though I was not pulled over and not even in the car…but it was running. I hired an attorney but It has not gone to court yet but, I need a hardship, when can I apply?

I am trying to find info on a criminal lawyer but I keep seeing criminal defense lawyer and I don’t know what is the difference between those two or are they just the same thing? Thanks for the help! (:

A criminal lawyer is a lawyer who is a criminal.

A criminal defense lawyer is a lawyer who defends criminals.
