Hi everyone, thank you for your help. So, let me explain this story…

A good friend of mine was in Maryland and they were parked at a store when the clerk called the cops because she seen him and the guy he was with drinking in the car. THEY WERE PARKED IN THE PARKING LOT AT THE MINI MARKET. Now, when the cops came, the officers told my friend, who was driving, to pull is car to the other side of the parking lot and call someone for a ride home until he sobered up. So he did so, and after he did the cop gave him a Breathalyzer and charged him with a dui. So my question is, how can the cop of told him to move his car and then gave him a dui after following his rule? Should my friend fight this? His court date is on Thursday and i’m kind of freaking out because i don’t know what’s going to happen. What should he do? Also, the incident happened in Maryland but the court he’s going to is in Pennsylvania so, will his charges be in Maryland or in Pennsylvania? Also, they didn’t give him any paper work they mailed it to him, what does that mean? Please help me with some good answers! Thank you very much!

If he was arrested in Maryland he cannot go to court in PA, the Maryland court would have jurisdiction unless it is for revocation of his license, He had to Obey the cop so he can fight the DUI, and win.

He sent a long letter to the judge and asked for the marriage to be resolved and another opportunity. She said she don’t want to live with him and the problem is that his visa is has finished. She then realised that he got a student visa from somewhere. Harjap asks who told you that he has a student visa. The woman says he is at Birmingham University.
