Question by Kate: What does motion to accelerate deferred sentence mean?
My friend is on a 5 year deferred sentence for car theft and robberies and has been failing drug test and not showing up to his probation officer. He also was recently arrested but let out on an OR for possession of a drug pipe and being drunk. He is 19. Is he getting ready to go back to prison? This is in Oklahoma County.

Best answer:

Answer by Pedobear.gov
Yea, I think deferred sentence means a sentence where, if the defendant successfully completes their probation period, the charge is dismissed without a conviction being entered, like they never did it all. If he keeps failing drugs tests, etc he’s gonna get charged with those offenses and have to do some time. . . or might have to anyways if the motion to accelerate passes.
